the Bootcamp Install; Prt. 2.

After spending a half hour trying to get my firmware up to date, windows gave me the bsod. Excactly why i switched to a mac. Silly. A simple restart fixed the problem, then i got to the part with the product key... annnd.... i didn't really have one. So basically i'm waiting until ramsey gets home so he can help me out with this bad boy. I had a few scary moments with the windows cd stuck in my drive, then i realized that if you hold down the alt/option key when the computer restarts, you can go back to mac OSX. Noooo troubles. Thank you advanced bios. Or whatever a mac has in place of them...
I've quite the learning curve for the macintosh's.
I only now found a decent FTP client for it.
It's called Yummy FTP. I think. here we are
And there we are, the first link ever to be written out on this here macBook pro.

I'm still wondering if i could do all i want with blogger, and not have to try any php. Maybe i can just have it as a sideproject... then move everything over there. Or maybe i could move everythin over there, and work on it as i write on it.

And the macBook pro has arrived. I'm posting this from a blogger widget on the dashboard. mmmmmhm. Anyways, jonesinc will be moving soon. For PHP is the new frontier....
man i'm a nerd. Maybe i should call this blog "Jones Inc. - Memoirs of a true geek"
It's a possibility. That's basically what it is...
Anyways.
The new blog would include... everything. Into one blog. There would be a picture beside each post title and date, which would basically be JonesPhoto, but don't expect a photo for every single post... It might just be something relevant to the post... that'd take some mad php though. So maybe later. I guess for now i'll just focus on figuring the basics out :P

The creature editor really is the jewel of the game, and you can make virtually anything.

So i figured the site needed a few more touches. I haven't worked on the template in ages (this old computer isn't even up to date with the lates .css, so it can't read any of the blogs well) Maybe a description, to start? Hold on, i've already got that.

Exams are over, and i'm going to be back posting

Well, we never know; it's summatime. Depends how busy I am.
However, not many people actually read this blog, I'll be doing my best to get more people to come and read the daily rantings of a ("young HTML enthusiast?", "kid?", "... *insert proper small rendition of Jones' Life+Times here*")
More JARBS to be had. I'm at 94 so far. Still waiting to break 100.
School's over.
Bummer.
No one really wanted it. But we'll say it was all for the best.

New computer

So there I was; totally... making sure i had all of them bookmarks on this new computer. That isn't really new. Rather; it's about 4 years old, has a 1.4 ghz processor, and a graphics card that won't even let me run halo. (n) it's very dissapointing; but i shall survive. I'd just like to say that I will, however, soon be recieving a MacBook sometime... in august. After the new release of mac os x comes out.

Well then; just about to go to bed; and i wanted to post something... it makes me do one of these guys ---> :) whenever i post. Just because i'm ranting and letting the world know. The world / the two-three people who read this blog. But w.e. As i go through my blogging carreer, hopefully others shall link to the Jonesage, and more people will come and see the Jonesage. Again; i'm open for ideas on how to get traffic into this site.

I guess i was just going to talk about blogging in general. I'd like to thank mr.g for getting me into it; because it's definatly going to be something i'll continue on with for the rest of my life. I'd better get the domain name "Jones-inc.com" taken before anyone else does... I'm pretty sure it's free so far. It's just going to be nice to be able to blog whenever i feel like it. I'm hoping to achieve something like... oh, let's just say... maybe a few thousand JARBS by the time i die. And I have to say it's rather plausable... considering i've reached about 80 in one year. *shrugs*

Well then, it's official; a Macbook is to be had. (i'm totally getting one). :) hahaha ramsey "my windows is lagging" ... "YOUR MAC MINI IS MELTING" such a silly goose.
Another webcomic is being read, i'm currently on 558 of 638 or something... took me a very long time to read those all. Anyway; it's called "Questionable content" so check it out. I've recently discovered Podcasting And now have a weekly input of AskANinja and multiple other funny things; such as Pure_Pwnage. They're definatly worth checking out. You can subscribe to them using itunes; just go into the Music Store and go to podcasts and such... you can figure the rest out :).

Btw; most of the next posts will simply be a distraction from studying for EXAMINATIONS. Sorry for the poor quality of writing. Then again; that's not really what this blog is about, so nevermind.

Well then, it appears I may be in the market for a Mac!!! I'm very exited. This is intense. And i'm bored, so I decided to blog about it. I wonder if anyone at all really reads this blog... *ponders* it'd be a shame if no one knew i was going to get a mac :( hahahaha *sigh* these days are getting longer. I think i should be studying... if only i had a valid reason not to. goddamn exams. I wonder if i have a copy of windows lying around waiting to be installed on bootcamp... maybe i should go check. Then i won't loose my ability to game. Such a shame no one games on apples... (the computer, not the fruit) Oh! three cheers for my dad's old laptop needing an upgrade, i've got a copy of windows. bootcamp is soon to come... someday. For all of you fellow bloggers, i.e. the one person who reads this blog. Hold on... i think i'm just writing to myself as of now. Anyway, "Bloglines" offers a really good service that lets you browse all of your favorite blogs by subscribing to them with an atom, or .rss feed. You can then log into bloglines and check all of them at once. Very useful for all of those 50 or so blogs you have bookmarked. You can also get a yotube "daily most watched" videos feed, which is somewhat amusing at times.

On another different-ish note, this photoblog features some really nice shots, one a day. Awesome.

So what's this i hear? Bush is becoming a dictator? :O! hahaha... well it seems he's on his way. He's managed to create "merger" with the white house and "fox", the t.v station; successfully owning the media, our means of seeing him. Essentially he now has control of our new source, he can control what we hear about him; and maybe, just maybe, manage to create a false sense of faith among his people. He might just be able to trick americans into believe that he isn't a theiving fool! :O! watch out.

I'd also like to note that the internet is soon to be bidded on through our ISP's (internet service providers). They have to power to stop us from viewing different websites. We may not be able to see what we want to anymore. For example, if amazon.com were to pay "rogers" a certain amount of money, rogers may stop it's users from accessing "ebay", therefor causing them to have to resort to a different website for their online shopping; amazon.com. It's through this "forced selection" in which they're taking over our internet. Bush is also attempting to pass a bill that may end up stopping websites like "myspace.com" or even blogger! oh how i would miss this blog... It aims to get rid of our ability to easily express ourselves online. the whole "web 2.0" (the other half of the internet, personal webpages and such) Is being targeted. I had my first glass of lemonade today; spring has officially sprung. Wonderland kicked ass by the way. Major chill seshage. This blog is going to own... i can feel it. No pressure to write well, i can just write... i hope this doesn't cause me to stop writing JARBS. I'll try not to let that happen. Have faith. I might even have some humour in here *shrugs* I'm thinking of integrating this with the media blog though... it's kindof pointless to have two different sites when i could just put all of that stuff on here... links and such. In fact, that's what i'm going to do. Please to realize though, that i've spent nights and nights on this; i have no idea how someone like ebaum can do that... all the HTML!!!!! ... Oh what a nerd i'm becoming. Alas, when computers take over the world, i'll be able to talk to them :) Sometime in the near future, i look forward to chill sesh's with robots. (h) ahh yeah son, ahhh yeah. In fact, here i am now, ranting to a robot... hahaha it even rhymes. Sick. i'm gonna like this. I hope you do to.
